Eleve: An Iconic Landmark in Parametric Design

Rodrigo Kirck's Award-Winning Residential Building Redefines Urban Landscapes

Eleve, a groundbreaking residential building designed by Rodrigo Kirck, is a testament to the power of parametric design and innovation in architecture. The building, which has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award, is set to become an iconic urban landmark in Porto Belo, Brazil.

The design of Eleve was inspired by the idea of creating a building that interacts with its users, the neighborhood, and the city. The building's solar protection system, which includes mobile windshields integrated into the ventilated facade, is a reflection of this intention. This parametric design, which forms the ventilated facade, transforms the simple relationship of a residential building into an iconic reference for pedestrians and conceptual architecture.

What sets Eleve apart is its iconic facade, where the mobile windshield system brings a design in constant motion. This ventilated facade reflects the project's concept aimed at the new generation. The result is a building that is constantly changing, offering a different design at every glance, thus creating a new icon for the city and pedestrians.

The realization of Eleve's design involved the use of concrete, glass, mobile windshield, galvanized steel, ACM Aluminum Composite Material, and LED Light. The iconic sculpture facade, parametric system, concrete, steel, and ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) are the technical specifications of the design.

The project started in January 2020 in Porto Belo, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The design research focused on visual perception, like a sculpture, with the aim of researching the relationship of the building as a visual landmark in the city. The collection of data was performed by looking for images of similar projects and parametric design presenting as a real result in business and society, the direct relationship of users and pedestrians, in and around them, as an icon.

The design challenges were overcome by focusing on contemporary design, where the user is part of the process, even after the construction of the building. The conceptual bases of participative design, the technological bases, and the thought of the relationship of this project with the future were the premises for the creation of this project.

The Eleve Residence is a testament to Rodrigo Kirck's innovative approach to architecture and design. By implementing concepts and values of contemporary architecture, he has redefined the concept of residential building, bringing a new experience to its users and the relation with the city. The technologies and concepts applied here, aimed to transform the building into an urban icon and to generate new ways of creating buildings in the region.

The design of Eleve has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award, a testament to its well-designed, practical, and innovative creation that meets professional and industrial requirements. Respected for integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, Eleve provides fulfillment and positive feelings, contributing to a better world.
